The students of B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering at Eternal University, Baru Sahib, recently went on an educational and historical trip that blended learning with pure exploration.
First Stop: Shimla – Where History Meets Hills
The journey began in the Queen of Hills – Shimla, where students visited the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, diving into the architectural brilliance and colonial history of the iconic building.
They then explored the Museum, which offered insights into India’s rich past, followed by a stroll along the ever-popular Mall Road, packed with scenic views, local crafts, and Insta-worthy moments .
No trip to Shimla is complete without visiting the Christ Church — one of the oldest churches in North India — where the vibe was peaceful, historic, and a perfect contrast to everyday campus hustle.
Next Stop: Spiritual Sojourn at Jatoli Mahadev Temple, Solan
On the way back, the students paid a visit to the Jatoli Mahadev Temple, one of the tallest Shiva temples in Asia. Nestled in the hills of Solan, the temple’s stunning architecture and spiritual energy gave everyone a chance to pause, reflect, and recharge.
The serene surroundings, panoramic views, and peaceful aura of the temple made it a favorite spot for group selfies and silent moments alike!
Learning Beyond Books
This trip wasn’t just about sightseeing — it was a perfect blend of education, history, and heritage exploration. From understanding colonial-era institutions to appreciating ancient Indian temple architecture, students got a wholesome experience of the past meeting the present.
