World Cancer Day, observed globally on February 4th, aims to raise awareness about cancer, promote its prevention, early detection, and treatment. On this significant day, the students of Akal College of Nursing, Eternal University, actively participated in an awareness campaign at Rajgarh, Himachal Pradesh.
Awareness Rally and Seminar – Empowering the Community
Guided by Assistant Professor Ms. Simarjot Kaur from the Department of Community Health Nursing, the students organized:
- A powerful rally through the streets of Rajgarh to spread messages about cancer prevention.
- An informative seminar focusing on:
- Causes of cancer
- Early signs and symptoms
- Importance of regular checkups
- Lifestyle changes for cancer prevention
Objective of the Program
- Raise public awareness about cancer
- Encourage early detection to save lives
- Break the stigma associated with cancer
- Promote healthy lifestyle habits to reduce cancer risk
