Mastering Research Writing – LaTeX Training Program Empowers Eternal University Students

On September 13, 2025, the Department of Mathematics in collaboration with the Career Development Cell at Eternal University, Baru Sahib, organized a hands-on LaTeX Training Program. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 45 students eager to strengthen their research and academic writing skills.

The session began with words of inspiration from Dean Dr. S.K. Chauhan, Dean Academics Dr. Benipal, and Dean Basic Sciences Dr. Kamal Kishore, who motivated students to embrace new learning opportunities and use such programs to excel in their academic and professional journey.

Training Highlights – From Equations to References

Led by Dr. Surjan Singh, Head of the Department of Mathematics and Chairperson of the Career Development Cell, the session covered:

• Document Structure Creation – building a professional and clean layout
• Mathematical Equation Writing – making complex notations easy and accurate
• Tables and Graphs – presenting data effectively
• Reference Management – citing sources in a professional way

The students also participated in practical sessions, where they applied the concepts themselves, gaining hands-on experience in LaTeX.

At the conclusion of the training, e-certificates were distributed to all participants, recognizing their efforts and participation.
