When Career Meets Responsibility
In today’s rapidly changing agricultural landscape, the need for committed professionals is greater than ever. Climate uncertainty, market pressures, and evolving technologies demand leaders who understand not only crops and policies but also people and livelihoods.
Some individuals chase careers.
Others choose responsibility.
Goldy Koundal belongs to the second category.
Rooted in Values, Raised in the Hills of Himachal
Growing up in a small village of Himachal Pradesh, Goldy was nurtured with values of discipline, integrity, and service. Her early education at Akal Academy Baru Sahib played a defining role in shaping her character.
Here, learning was never limited to textbooks. Students were encouraged to build resilience, compassion, and a sense of duty toward society.
This environment quietly planted the seed of a life mission.
Choosing Agriculture with Conviction
With clarity in her heart and determination in her mind, Goldy joined Eternal University Baru Sahib to pursue BSc Agriculture from 2016 to 2020.
For her, agriculture was not a popular trend or a convenient option.
It was a commitment.
At the university, she received academic rigor, practical exposure, and mentorship that deepened her understanding of farmers’ realities. She began to see agriculture beyond production — she saw families, survival, and the future of rural communities.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
At Eternal University, agriculture is taught as a national responsibility. Students are trained to think about sustainability, grassroots development, and innovative problem solving.
This approach helped Goldy transform knowledge into purpose.
While many viewed agriculture as a sector, she saw the human stories behind every field.
Focus, Determination, and a Clear Goal
With a dream to serve at the grassroots level, Goldy prepared tirelessly for competitive examinations. The journey demanded patience, discipline, and unwavering focus.
But her motivation remained constant — contribute directly to farmer welfare and rural empowerment.
Selected as Agriculture Development Officer
Her perseverance bore fruit when she earned selection as an Agriculture Development Officer ADO.
In this role, she now stands at the frontline of agricultural progress, working closely with farming communities, supporting sustainable practices, and strengthening development systems.
Credit to Mentors and Institution
Goldy humbly attributes her success to her teachers and the ecosystem at Eternal University, which prepared her not just for tests, but for leadership and responsibility.
Education that Creates Nation Builders
When education is rooted in values, it does more than award degrees.
It builds individuals who uplift society.
Goldy’s journey is a reminder that true success lies in standing with those who feed the nation.
