Into the Wild – Eternal University Students Turn a Zoo Visit into a Living Classroom

At Eternal University, education is not just taught—it is experienced. Taking a bold step beyond textbooks, students from the Department of Zoology, Akal College of Basic Sciences set out on an exciting educational journey to Mahendra Chaudhary Zoological Park.

Organized under the Generic Elective (GE) and M.Sc. Wildlife and Its Management course, this visit transformed theoretical concepts into real-world understanding.

A Learning Experience Powered by Curiosity

With 35 students from diverse streams including BBA, BCA, M.Sc. Zoology, Botany, and Mathematics, the visit became a hub of curiosity, exploration, and discovery.

Guided by expert faculty:

  • Dr. Neelam Thakur
  • Dr. Preety Tomar
  • Dr. Samiksha Jhamta

students were encouraged to observe, question, and connect deeply with nature.

Where Wildlife Became the Teacher

Set in the heart of Chandigarh, the zoological park offered far more than just a visit—it became a live laboratory.

  • Understand global conservation challenges

Beyond Books – The Power of Experiential Learning

Moments like these redefine education. By stepping into real environments, students don’t just learn—they evolve.

They become:

  • More observant
  • More responsible
  • More connected to nature

At Eternal University, this approach builds not just graduates, but future environmental stewards.

A Step Towards a Sustainable Future

This educational tour was more than an academic exercise—it was an awakening. An experience that nurtures awareness, responsibility, and respect for the natural world.

Because the future belongs to those who don’t just study nature—but choose to protect it.
