On April 14, 2019, the Akal College of Agriculture, Eternal University, Baru Sahib, successfully organized its 4th Kisan Mela, celebrating the spirit of farming and agricultural advancement. The event brought together farmers, agricultural experts, innovators, and government officials in a day filled with learning and recognition.
Chief Guest Graces the Event
The event was honored by the presence of Sh. Rakesh Kanwar (IAS), Director-cum-Ex-Officio Special Secretary, Panchayati Raj Department, Himachal Pradesh, who served as the Chief Guest. His presence and encouraging words inspired both participants and organizers.
Vibrant Exhibits and Farmer Participation
The Mela featured over 25 stalls and exhibits presented by various university departments, state departments, agricultural input companies, book depots, and agri-implements firms. Farmers from nearby villages and states actively participated, making the event a true celebration of grassroots innovation.

A key attraction of the event was the Fresh Produce Competition, where farmers displayed their best crops. Winners were honored with awards by the Chief Guest, appreciating their hard work and quality produce.
