Lighting Lives, Not Just Lamps – Eternal University’s Green Diwali Celebration

This year, Eternal University celebrated Diwali — the Festival of Lights — in the most meaningful way possible.
Instead of just lighting lamps, the NSS Unit of Eternal University decided to light lives by giving back to nature through a Tree Plantation Drive.

The initiative, themed “Plant Trees, Light Lives – Celebrate Diwali with Greenery,” beautifully merged the spirit of celebration with the essence of sustainability.

Planting Hope, Growing Change

Behind the IB School at Baru Sahib, students, faculty, and volunteers joined hands to plant saplings that symbolize life, hope, and renewal.
Each tree planted wasn’t just a part of an event — it was a promise to protect the environment and a step toward building a sustainable future.

The NSS team turned festive joy into eco-friendly action, reminding everyone that true celebration goes beyond lights and sweets — it’s about leaving a lasting positive impact on the planet. 🌱

Leaders Who Inspired the Green Movement

The success of this thoughtful celebration was made possible by the dedicated guidance of:

  • Dr. Yogeeta Thakur, NSS Coordinator
  • Dr. Mohit Kumar
  • Er. Anita Chaudhary
  • Ms. Manisha Sehgal

Their collective effort inspired students to embrace the true spirit of Green Diwali — one rooted in care, awareness, and collective responsibility.
