Empowering Educators through Self-Discovery – Day 2 of NEP 2020 Workshop at Eternal University

The second day of the transformative Three-Day Workshop on “Embracing NEP 2020 for Empowering Educators” unfolded on 28th October 2025 at Bhai Gurdas Ji Hall, Eternal University, Baru Sahib. The session continued the inspiring journey of nurturing personal and professional growth among educators in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Under the expert guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Mandeep Kaur Kochar, participants delved deep into understanding themselves better as educators, embracing reflection, emotional awareness, and gratitude as key pillars of transformation.

Exploring Self and Emotional Intelligence

The day commenced with reflective discussions and introspective exercises focused on discovering one’s personality traits and understanding the concept of self.
Educators learned to differentiate between hard and soft skills, recognizing how both contribute equally to effective teaching and leadership.

A highlight of the day was the interactive role plays, which enhanced emotional intelligence and empathy — essential skills for educators leading classrooms with compassion and awareness.

The Gratitude Tree – Growing Roots of Appreciation

In a heartwarming activity, participants from Groups 1 to 8 showcased their creativity through “Gratitude Trees.”
Each tree reflected core values such as leadership, creativity, empathy, calmness, and thankfulness, representing the deep-rooted connection between emotional growth and educational excellence.

The Gratitude Trees stood as powerful metaphors — the roots symbolizing self-awareness and the branches representing growth, collaboration, and positive mindset.

A Journey of Reflection and Inspiration

Day 2 proved to be an enriching experience filled with collaboration, introspection, and meaningful discussions. Educators walked away inspired, ready to integrate the essence of NEP 2020 into their teaching practices with renewed enthusiasm and emotional clarity.
